Stuffed Inn is the light of Berkeley, CA! Best sandwiches, best people - highly recommend

Egg Salad and Ham Sandwich: This tasted amazing! The egg salad part was pretty close to deviled eggs and was refreshing to taste in a sandwich. The rest of the sandwich was pretty standard -- lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, smoked ham -- but it was clear these ingredients were super fresh and everything tied in well. I also thought the Dutch Crunch bread was also perfect for this type of sandwich.
Another point: the food here is super cheap and they have so many options! -

My friend and I decided to get sandwiches at the Stuffed Inn on a bit of a whim. The menu looked really appetizing, regarding both the sandwiches and all of the other things you could buy on the side. Everything also seemed very reasonably priced and relatively cheap, considering how expensive some food options are in the Bay Area. I ordered a Big Hot Double Pastrami and Cheese sandwich for about $6.75, and split a half pickle ($0.50) and potato salad ($1.25) with my friend.
There is a lot of variety in what you can add onto your sandwich, with regular or spicy mustard, mayo, bean sprouts, jalapenos, onions, tomatoes, and banana peppers. The line was a bit busy during rush hour, and it did take a while to make my sandwich, but that's to be expected. The staff is very nice and considerate, and the atmosphere of the shop makes it really seem like a comfy home.
The sandwich and pickle were delicious, but the potato salad might have been the best potato salad I've had at a restaurant. We also ordered a split pea soup, but that wasn't as good, it was just pretty ok. Overall, I'm definitely coming here again soon. -

Sometimes you just want a nice simple sandwich. Not a humongous monstrosity that you can barely bite into, not a saucy fusion wrap, not a butter slathered glorified grilled cheese. Just meat and veggies and mayo on some nice toasted bread. That's what The Stuffed Inn is for. The sandwiches are the perfect size and price for lunch, and toasted Dutch crunch is so yummy. This is what I think of when I think of a sandwich.
For ~$3 extra, you can also get soup. On Tuesday and Friday, their daily soup is clam chowder, so I'd definitely recommend going then. I'd give five stars for the clam chowder alone.
I think a lot of people get their sandwiches to go, but I actually quite like sitting in their seating area. There's usually plenty of room, and it's well lit. Such a pleasant lunch. -

Affordable and simple, but sometimes that's all you ever need. (Especially if you're a busy and broke college student.)
Soups, sandwiches, and salads are all available but I'd recommend either get a sandwich or the clam chowder. Both are usually around $6 with tax.
I was a bit confused when ordering the sandwich here for the first time, but I think you choose a sandwich from the menu and then make modifications, choose the bread, and add veggies/sauce. The workers are all super friendly!
